About IMPCT

IMPCT at Hult Prize Clinton Global Initiative Finals

IMPCT is a global social enterprise dedicated to transforming low income and urban slum communities through education. We directly source products from these communities and invest the profits back into local women to run our Playcare preschools. Through our bricks.impct.co platform you can become a founder of one of these schools.

We were founded in 2014 by four MBA classmates at Taiwan's National Chengchi University in response to that year's $1,000,000 Hult Prize Challenge. We bested 50,000 teams to make it to the global finals hosted at The Clinton Global Initiative's annual general meeting in New York. There we got the chance to pitch our Playcare concept to a distinguished panel of judges, including Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammed Yunus and Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard among others. We were honored to be selected by them as that year's winners and have President Clinton introduce us to the Clinton Global Initiative as one of his "Top companies changing the world".

That incredible honor has allowed us to start spreading the power of early education to children throughout Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Soon we'll have five pilot schools up and running in El Salvador, Guatemala, South Africa, and Taiwan.

The IMPCT team.

Since founding IMPCT almost two years ago we've grown from four co-founders (above) to 15 staff across three continents. Interested in what we're doing? Feel free to send us an e-mail. We invite you to check out our Taiwanese website at http://impct.tw
